Our Mission, Vision  and Full Terms and Conditions can be viewed below.

Glen Eden Trading 131 CC, our original name, was founded in 2007 and trades as Diamond Projects and Interiors PTY Ltd today.

At the time of opening the business, Anthony van Vuuren concentrated on the domestic market. We began expanding into the commercial / retail market shortly after commencing trade. Anthony has been working within shop fitting (full build out of national brand stores), home renovation and property maintenance for over 30 years, having built franchise concerns such as Mike’s Kitchen, Pam Golding’s offices Lusaka, various Sausage Saloons, Placecol Beauty Salons, Wimpy’s, Café Dulce’s, Sony Bloemfontein etc. Private concerns such as Love Hair and Beauty Factory among others as well as being involved in the design and layout of the new Yale Security Point franchise look opening the first new look store in Secunda Mall in August 2014.

More recently we participated in the build out of three Arthur Ford Stores in Musina, Mokopane and Alexandra, three H20 International branches in Roodepoort, Midrand and Randburg as well as coffee trailers for Cafe2go. Diamond Projects and Interiors is and remains a small family business.

Anthony has recognition for his high standard of work and the delivery of a full turnkey operation within the time period required on each and every project he undertakes. Anthony has been able to expand these skills into our domestic market where our clientele base is strong, with cabinetry, kitchen and bathroom renovations being the core demand coming to the fore.

Our Mission…

To supply affordable and modern shop fitting solutions that create excitement for our clients and their customers alike! To develop and equip a workforce that will share in the success of each and every project. To expand our shop fitting solutions while respecting people and most of all, our environment.

Our Vision…
To become an employer and supplier of choice through our proud, full turnkey shop fitting solutions and be recognised for the value and experience that they bring.

Our Terms and Conditions

Diamond Projects and Interiors (DPI) Full Terms and Conditions, Indemnity and Disclaimer

1. A 70% deposit is required before the commencement of any project and within 14 (fourteen) calendar days of acceptance of the quotation and is accepted as confirmation and finalization of the client’s acceptance.
It is understood by the client, that the deposit DOES NOT cover the entire cost of the project, materials or labour required to complete the project, the entire cost of fuel or sundries required or chargeable for project completion.
In the event of any cancellations falling within the 14 (fourteen) calendar days prior to commencement of the project , the client will forfeit 30 to 50% of the deposit already paid to Diamond Projects and Interiors due to loss of earnings as well as wasted costs.
In the event of last minute cancellations falling within the quotation validity period of 14 (fourteen) calendar days preceding the project commencement and especially 3 (three) days prior to the commencement of the project, the client will forfeit the full deposit paid due to loss of earnings as well as wasted costs, subject to special consideration in extreme conditions.
In the event of cancellations falling within the project period and after the commencement of the project and after progressive payments have been made, the client will forfeit the full deposit paid due to loss of earnings as well as wasted costs.
The client waves all rights and entitlement to refund and indemnifies Diamond Projects and Interiors, its directors, members, employees, agents, servants and sub-contractors from any further claims to loss or damages whatsoever.
2. The payment of the deposit means the full acceptance of ALL DPI's terms and conditions, REGARDLESS of signature on acceptance of quote. All quotes are required to be signed by the client, scanned and emailed back to DPI on acceptance. If quotations are not signed, the deposit suffices as full acceptance of the commencement of the project and the full terms and conditions as stated herein.
3. Projects exceeding 7 days are liable to a progressive payment to a determined percentage value of the final amount due, payable 7 calendar days after the commencement of a project. The progressive payment is not negotiable. If the progressive payment is not received timeously, on any given project, all staff will be removed from the client’s site until the progressive payment is received. If the progressive payment is not received at all, DPI will not return to the project site and will not be liable for any further cost to the client for the completion of the project by the client with other contracted companies. It will be deemed a cancellation of the project regardless of notification or none received from the client. This cancellation will be subjected to a cancellation fee of 30% of the total value of the project payable by the client.
4. The final balance of the project is due and payable immediately on completion of a project and on presentation of invoice. This is not negotiable. If the final balance is not paid immediately, DPI reserves the full right to uplift all materials, fixtures and fittings supplied to the client without further notice to the client.
5. Our installations carry a 12 month guarantee, with a 6 month warranty on materials supplied only.
6. The quotation does not include labour or materials which may be required should any unforeseen challenges arise during the project. Our clients are notified in advance. Variation orders can apply and a deposit is required immediately should a variance order exceed R1000.00 to the value of R70%.
7. All goods supplied by DPI, fixed or moveable, remain the exclusive property of DPI until the final account is paid in full. Should full payment not be received for a completed project immediately on completion, DPI reserves the absolute right without prejudice, to uplift the installed goods and materials without notice and to engage the assistance where necessary of legal agencies such as the SAPS, collections agents and area sheriffs, the local small claims court or magistrates court with all punitive costs payable by the client. These terms are applicable to the progressive payment terms as well.
8. Further on final payments - final payment is to be made immediately on project completion. This is not negotiable. No retentions are entertained unless agreed to with DPI in advance. If a retention amount is agreed to, a maximum percentage of only 5% of the final balance due will be accepted by DPI.
9. Should the project be cancelled when the progressive payment becomes due at and after 7 calendar working days after the project has resumed, or at delivery of all fixtures and fittings or goods delivered (shop fitting and other fixtures included but not limited to built in cupboards, kitchen cupboards, point of sale counters and displays), the full deposit of 70% becomes non-refundable whatsoever. Clients are to note that the deposit does not cover the full expense of the entire project, hence why the structure of a progressive payment applies of 20% and the final balance at completion of the project of 10%. DPI works off a low profit base and does not finance any project it undertakes with any client.
10. Any materials supplied by DPI and returned to DPI after cancellation of a project at client request, and only returned within 7 days of cancellation and no later, will be accepted if returned to DPI in its original packaging only, the materials and packaging must be undamaged in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act and Supplier terms and conditions viewable on their websites, under their Returns and Refund Policy, which will be made available to the client at this time. Any materials returned after 7 days will not be accepted by DPI or returned to the supplier.
11. Materials, labour, fuel, fixtures and fittings ordered and purchased after commencement of the project and older than 7 days, are not refundable unless proven faulty. Materials, fixtures and fittings ordered and purchased and or delivered to the client after commencement of the project, and cancelled at client request are not refundable and DPI reserves the right to instruct its suppliers to uplift materials and fixtures provided and installed by the supplier. This includes but is not limited to glass windows, doors, patio and sliding doors, blinds and the like.
12. DPI is not liable or responsible for the payment of any client staff or security officials employed by the client to safeguard client property, nor for any extra days should the project extend over more days than initially thought or agreed to. The extension is discussed with the client in advance.
13. Further, should a client request DPI supervisory staff or security officials to be in attendance during the duration of a project, payment of same will be quoted for in addition to the project and will remain for the client's cost under Project Management. This is not negotiable.
14. In relation to shop fitting of retail stores and landlords renting out residential property, no landlord penalties will be entertained, of any kind, inclusive of but not limited to late store openings or late tenant occupation for whatever reason. Unforeseen delays are experienced on projects and the client is notified. These penalty fees remain the cost of the client. Penalty fees are also not entertained should the client pay their deposit to DPI in excess of the timeline provided to the client for timeous completion, causing a delay of the commencement of the project.
15. Also, all shop fitting, fixtures and goods supplied and installed by DPI, if damaged by third parties involved on the site during and after installation or by the client, DPI will not be held liable or responsible for the replacement or repair thereof. This is for the client’s cost.
16. No penalty fines in relation to private housing estates will be entertained without the presentation and signature from DPI of the rules of the Home Owners Association and Code of Conduct being presented first by clients to DPI on acceptance of quotation. If these are un-presented to DPI, the fines incurred will be for client cost.
17. A project management fee is applicable to larger projects for hands on attendance of skilled supervisory staff.
18. It is DPI's undertaking at all times on all projects to provide only skilled staff or contractors or sub-contractors contracted by DPI with specific skill sets for specific work on projects, i.e. tilers, plumbers, painters, builders etc. This affects pricing, as DPI undertakes at all times to pay fair wages to its employees, contractors and sub-contractors. However, to avoid serious errors being made on site, the employment of skilled staff and contractors is of absolute necessity. This is to the mutual benefit of the client and DPI and for both DPI and client peace of mind.
19. Casual staff are only employed on an ad hoc basis for purposes of cleaning sites and tools only.
20. Staff in training are accompanied by management to sites and work under management supervision only. They may not work on any sites unsupervised and will be required to stand down if supervision is not available.
21. Clients are to note that our staff, contractors or sub-contractors are not available for any extra work privately or for other projects required by the client away from the appointed project, without the explicit sanction of DPI. If it is found that any staff, contractor or sub-contractor is utilized privately by the client on other projects away from those granted to DPI to complete for the client, the staff member, contractor or sub-contractor will be dismissed immediately based on a conflict of interest.
22. Should any other contractor in the industry be requested to work on projects resumed by DPI, for whatever reason, during the ongoing project by the client, the client is to note that any guarantees or warrantees issued by DPI will immediately fall away. This will also apply to projects completed by DPI. Also, DPI is absolved and released of any further responsibility in terms of the said project including further or additional costs or refunds.
23. Should DPI take on projects for clients where previous contractors have worked and left the project incomplete, clients are to please take note that DPI will endeavour to fix all faults as best possible and complete the work within its ability. However, should there be further faults uncovered that need repair during the project, the cost thereof remains for the client. No guarantees or warranties will be issued on these projects other than on materials only.
24. Should a client pay DPI staff directly without the permission or sanction of DPI, DPI will not be liable for any credits and will not grant credits in relation to the client's final invoices for these staff payments. It is against DPI policy to allow staff to approach clients for direct payment. Should a staff member do so and receive payment from the client directly without the knowledge of DPI, and not through DPI, the staff member will be dismissed immediately on grounds of theft. The client will be liable for the full account due without any credits passed for these direct payments as these payments are not sanctioned.
25. Under no circumstances will DPI grant credits on invoices for items not quoted for. DPI will only pass credits to clients on work cancelled on instruction from the client prior to completion of the project.
27. DPI will not be liable or responsible for any further work on a project if it's payment terms are not met by clients.
26. If payment is not received from the client, all means and methods necessary to recover the monies due and to recover unpaid fixtures and fittings from the client’s premises will be employed.
27. In the event of relocation of stores in malls from one location to a new location, where the fixtures and fittings and shop fitting are required to be moved from one location to the new location and are not going to be replaced with new fixtures and fittings or shop fitting, but used in their second hand condition in the new location, DPI will do its best to move all these mentioned items without causing further damage to them. If these items are damaged or broken during the relocation process, DPI will not be held liable or responsible for the damage due to the second hand nature of the fixtures and fittings and shop fitting. DPI at all times, will recommend new shop fitting, fixtures and fittings for a store relocation and does not encourage the use of second hand fixtures and fittings and shop fitting at any time due to fair wear and tear on the items. These terms apply to moving built in cupboards and other fixtures and fittings within client homes as well.
